Rowena is passionate about the preservation and education of Aboriginal history: “Our history empowers us as a people to understand our current position in the world, who we are today.” She is also passionate about building better foundations for the future generations – “what we do today will help prepare and empower our children tomorrow”. Rowena believes achieving an independent and self governed community provides both preservation of the past and a strong foundation for the future and will use her skills to help achieve that for all Aboriginal people in the Goldfields region.
